About IHC
The Interior Horse Council is made up of representatives from local horse organizations, including 4H, Pony Clubs, Interior Horseman's Association, Alaska State Quarter Horse Association, and Interior Alaska Trail Riders Association, as well as horse owners in general.  The goal of the organization is to develop safe horse facilities in Interior Alaska that can be used to educate and train equestrians of all ages.  The group acts as advisor and liaison to the Tanana Valley Fair Association in working to develop and implement plans for improvements at the Fairgrounds.
The group is currently working on becoming incorporated.  Plans for fairgrounds improvement include two new outdoor arenas, new competitor warm-up area, round pen, expanded covered bleachers, expanded restroom facilities, expanded parking, a covered arena (eventually), and an indoor arena (eventually).  In order to reach these goals, funds must be raised to finance the improvements.  Any person or group is invited to donate funds or services that will help the IHC reach its goals.  Click here to learn more about donating.
We have obtained 501c(3) status from the IRS.  All donations will now be tax deductable FED ID # 92-0170599.
